Why Hannah's Heart?
I have been wanting to start a Blog for quite sometime. In August of 2020, yes crazy 2020 we took a three hour car ride to Pennsylvania to pick up the cutest little puppy everrrr. Day two, maybe three of having the little puppy...okay wait no one said that puppies are like new born babies and they wake up every couple of hours...sheesh, so as I was saying, day two, maybe three it was another sleepless night for me and about 3am I was up, wide awake and could not go back to sleep. So as I lay there mad because I could not go back to sleep, so I was scrolling through my phone and I heard the spirit whisper as clear as day the name "Hannah". And from that moment birthed Hannah's Heart.

My mother Terri, whom I lost when I was 19 years old was given the nickname "Hannah" apparently short for Hard Hearted Hannah because she fought so much and as little as she was you couldn't tell her she couldn't knock out giants...guess I know where I got it from lolol. Secondly, in the bible, there is the story of Hannah, 1 Samuel 1. Hannah was barren and during that time, well maybe even today, women were treated unkind, often teased if they were not able to have children. She cried out to God through prayer asking Him to answer the prayer for her son. She persisted and never gave up, her prayers were answered and she eventually became pregnant, gave birth to her son, whom she named Samuel, and dedicated him back to God. The name Samuel means "I asked God for him or God hears". Here is a little secret, my name is Samantha...see the connection. Now barrenness does not have to necessarily mean cannot conceive children. We all tend to find ourselves in seasons of barrenness. Whether we are trying to conceive an idea for a new business, a task at work, relationship and we do not see anything happening. But eventually through your continued prayers and hard work, you can birth what you once thought you couldn't even conceive. I myself know the struggle of barren seasons and now with the start of this blog, I am in the birthing season.
Be encouraged and stay the course, for Nothing is impossible with God - Luke 1:37.

One of my new favorite shirts says "Somewhere between Proverbs 31 and Tupac there is me". So this journey of blogs will be one of Faith and Spirituality, humor and random ratchetness, other random things or as my daughter calls me, cray-cray lol...basically a mixed bag of tricks...so thank you for joining me, let's buckle up and ride.
